DMC Peer Mentors [Fall 2024] - Week #12

Fall 2024 - Week 12

New Clock-In/Out System:
ALL mentors must physically sign in and out when they begin and end their shift. The sign in sheet is located in Chyna Hart's Office (Associate Director). She must sign off on your hours when you clock out in order for you to get approved in e-time. On Tuesdays the sign in she will be at the front desk with Ms. Angela. She will be signing off on your hours. If there is no signture for hours listed, they will not be approved in your e-time.

Mentors MUST log their weekly hours into the e-time portal every Friday by 3pm. You should NOT be exceeding the 10 hour commintment.

Please add your office hours to the Peer Mentor Availability chart if you have not already. These will be the hours I expect you to be in the DMC space. 

Mentor of the Week

Victoria Ochanda is a dedicated peer mentor from Steelton, PA, who is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Linguistics. As a member of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA), she’s deeply invested in her future career in speech-language pathology. Victoria is also active on campus as a member of Cru, the African Student Association, and A Moment of Magic, an organization that brings joy to children facing serious illness. Victoria mentors Hayley and Mariam, offering support, guidance, and encouragement. Her passion for helping others and her diverse involvement on campus make her a valued peer mentor and a positive influence in the community!

Game Night: Mentors vs. Mentees

Bowling Fun Night! 
Wednesday, November 20, 2024
5:30pm – 7:30pm | Round 1 Bowling & Arcade

This event is the perfect opportunity to unwind, have fun, and strengthen the connections between mentors and mentees. Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or a first-timer, it’s all about having a great time together! This will be a relaxed and enjoyable evening with plenty of opportunities to mingle, share laughs, and compete for fun prizes!

Highlights of the Night:
